I believe the holiday season has arrived, at least for our shop, because we are extra busy with orders!
This is our latest custom order.
I believe it’s the smallest item I have ever made. It’s size 0-3 months, and it’s only 11″ long. It’s so small, it will stand up on it’s own!![]()
This retro denim jumper is partially lined in tranquil orange. It comes complete with matching bloomers and the best part, it’s monogrammed with a J
We still have plenty of ready to ship items available. Many of our items, however, are made to order. Our current turn around time is 3 weeks. We change this time as needed, and always keep it current in our shop announcements. If you’re thinking of ordering an item for Christmas, ( I know, I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet.) I’d advise you to place it soon.
I recently had a request for a 3/4 length sleeve shift dress. She also wanted to choose her own fabric to suit her daughter perfectly.
I love it when clients choose their own fabric. It’s fun for me to see what they choose since there are so many options. In this case, “Tossed Flowers” in Yellow by Maywood Studios was chosen. How perfect for bringing some sunny cheer into the upcoming winter days.
We currently have a make it your own party dress in our shop and now have decided to add this shift dress as another style option. Fabric is included in the price. Simply go to the fabric store, choose your favorite and let us know your decision upon check out. We’ll take care of the rest.
I tried to finish this dress in time for our photo shoot with Wild Fern photography. I came so close, but just ran out of time.
Instead, we did our own shoot.
Another easy-to-wear fall shift dress in tranquil orange.
Loving the orange and grey colours in this print.

I love this print, especially for the fall season. Couldn’t decided whether to make it into a dress, or top, but I love the way it looks with denim, so I went for a tunic style top.
no buttons or zippers so she can easily dress herself.

Can you believe it’s back to school time? I know.
Isabella began Kindergarten (in August!) and was so excited. (Christmas morning- excited). I was not quite as thrilled, but I survived the first day, and now I’m loving it too.
Many schools in Phoenix require a strict dress code. Navy, white or red collard tops, with khaki or navy bottoms. There are many great options in the stores, but I wanted to make her school clothes myself. (well, some)
Here’s what I came up with.
Wasn’t sure how they’d feel about the extra little flower I attached, but I just couldn’t resist. I figured, it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission right?
She’s received so many compliments from teachers, and even the principal, so I I guess it’s allowed.
made her a little jacket to go with it for the cooler weather.
She loves her khaki skirt so much, I made another in navy.
The flower is made from a man button down shirt.
Though I wasn’t planning on it, we decided to add these skirts to our shop. Available in size 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 18 -24 months, 2T 3T 4T 5T 6T
Hard to believe a new Fall season is here! This might just be my favorite season, especially here in Phoenix when it slowly begins to cool off.
We are finally ready to begin the unveil of our new collection! We’ll only be showing one item at a time so you’ll have to keep checking back.
We found a fantastic line of fabric, only to later find out the company is only printing this line once. We weren’t the only ones to love it, because it has sold out already! We purchased what was available, so most of our items this season will be limited.
here are the prints we found

Aren’t they great?
I’ve always thought a pocket sling seemed like a great way to carry your baby. And since I recently had a baby I decided to try it out! I made a sling using McCall’s Crafts M5678. It was relatively easy, aside from some confusing instructions. (Why do patterns always make things more complicated than they need to be?) I used a light grey cotton on one side and for the other side, my favorite organic poppy fabric. I had a boy so I figured I’d do a manly color on the outside fabric and a girly fabric on the inside for me! I sewed in some ribbon to use to hang the sling up when not in use. And the best part – Link loves his sling and falls asleep promptly as he’s placed in it.
We’re so excited to be the “featured fab find” today on poshlittle.com! Posh Little is a fantastic site for moms and moms-to be.
The post is about our upcycled daddy’s shirt-dress. We’ve already had moms send us their husbands shirt to be transformed into dresses for their daughters. If you’d like to surprise your husband with a daddy’s shirt dress for Father’s Day visit our Etsy shop.

’til Easter.
The decorations are up and the countdown is on!![]()
I just finished Isabella’s Easter dress yesterday and even persuaded her to model. ![]()
Candy was involved of course, so we did a little pre-Easter egg hunt for fun. I wasn’t planning on making an actual “Easter dress” per se, but she had her eye on this fabric and really wanted a dress made. I thought I’d try out this new style. I’m quite liking the wrap and contrast ruffle trim because it’s girly without being over the top. I even have matching pink jelly shoes to put in her basket on Sunday.
Pink shoes…. doesn’t get any better than that!
