I am happy to report, we have found success with our first garden!
It’s hard to believe just how much our garden has grown…
April
May
July
We’ve picked a lot of tomatoes,
Basil,
Lettuce,
radishes,
a variety of peppers,
and soon, eggplants.
So far, so good. Looking forward to planting more in the Fall!
Boston photographer, Rebecca Deaton, has done it again!
We sent her our retro coveralls and she took them to the corn field…
The addition of the tractor is perfect isn’t it?
A big thank you to Rebecca and her sweet little boy for all your work! We love the new photos!
For additional images and info, have a look here.
Recently, we were approached by Boston based photographer, Rebecca Deaton. She wanted to use some of our items for a photoshoot. After looking at her work, (amazing!) I knew we need to to take her up on this excellent opportunity.
Sweet Kallan, wore our new bird dress beautifully and Rebecca captured some incredible shots.
I think it’s picnic time…
This dress is available in our shop! We also have a monogramed version available.
Rebecca has a few more of our items so we are excited to see more of her in the near future! Check out more of her work on her website .
Thank you Rebecca and Kallan!
We are very happy to be participating in a fundraising event with the Sparrow Fund for the month of May!
This newly launched organization exists to support and equip families as they prepare for adoption. As you may know, the financial cost of this process can be overwhelming and often impossible. The Sparrow Fund is focused on providing grants to those that need the assistance. Very exciting…
If you, or anyone you know is talking about adopting but is overwhelmed by the cost, you must visit this site and pass on the word!
Want to help? 10% of our profits for the month of May will go directly to this organization. There are many other amazing retailers participating as well. Go here for a complete list and happy shopping!
This week we learned that redpajamas has landed a spot on babble.com’s annual list of top 50 Etsy baby shops!
Considering the thousands of Etsy shops that currently exist, we are honored to make it on to this highly selective list.
Check out the list to find some new favorites!
In honour of Cyber Monday we would like to offer FREE SHIPPING today only.
Love free shipping.
Many of our items are ready to ship but some are not.
Our current turn around time for our made to order items is 10 days.
This offer is available in both our shops, Redpajamas and Redpajamas home
26 shopping days left – wow.
If there could be only one store I could shop in I could easily say it would be Anthropologie. I can go to their store and browse for a long enough time that the sales people are probably wondering about me. Here are a few things for the home that caught my eye and would make great gifts.
A milk maid butter dish would look so pretty on the counter. Equally adorable is this jam pot.
These Mix Well recipe cards would work be a perfect addition with any of these homemade treats from Smitten Kitchen’s Gift-Worthy selection. And my favorite? This Wise Ol’ Cookie Jar.
Any of these items would work well along with our Red Pajamas Home aprons and tea towels for the perfect gift. You can view the full selection from Red Pajamas Home here.

I am a huge fan of thrift stores. I often sneak out on a Sunday, by myself…
I mostly walk out with nothing in my hands, but that’s ok. I love to look, it’s the thrill of the hunt. Once in a while I come home with something that I love…guilt free.
Take these adorable dishes for instance. Found them last week. There was only one orange, so it’s not exactly a matching set, but I’m ok with that. At 1.49/peice, you have to be ok with it!
All I know is that they come from Japan. No idea of the year, but they look old to me. Just hope I don’t run into them at Target.
The birthday season has arrived for our family. From August ’til December, someone has a birthday.
This past weekend was Romans big day. He is 5 now and so proud to be big.
Here he is in his new birthday shirt from Finley and Oliver. I had to get it because we call him Rooster and his favorite colour is green. love it!
As much as I love my son and his new shirt, the main reason I’m writing is because I need to talk about the cake.
Ice cream cake.
I found this recipe and it could not be easier. I chose Cherry Vanilla for the bottom, and chocolate for the top. The middle is crushed chocolate cookie and fudge. It’s just like the ice cream cake you buy from you know where, except this is so much better, higher quality and much easier on the wallet!
Just think about all the combination possibilities!
Ice Cream Cake
1. Allow ice cream to soften, then spread on the bottom of pan until the pan is almost half full.
2. Sprinkle with crushed Oreo cookies, then spoon hot fudge sauce (at room temperature) over the top of this. Set in freezer until frozen.
3. Remove from freezer and add second layer of ice cream. Smooth it evenly with the top of the cake pan.
4. Return to the freezer and freeze until very hard.
5. Remove from freezer and frost with a mixture of equal parts ice cream and
thawed frozen whipped topping beaten together.
6. Return to freezer until serving time.
As you can see, it was a hit!
Hard to believe it’s that time of year again!
Here are a few of my favorite items to help get the school year off to a great start.
Check out these reusable snack bags by Uldeyrth. So adorable and perfect for packing in the lunchbox.

Don’t you love this paper airplane zipper pouch by MontclairMade?
I recently discovered Soyoungmother and I adore their whole line of lunch boxs, cooler bags and lifestyle bags.
Don’t forget to get your kids off on the right foot with a good breakfast. Lots of easy, kid friendly ideas from Martha.
Wishing you much luck as you get back to it.
Enjoy the last bit of summer and have a wonderful labour day weekend!
