This month we are raffling off the one tweet tunic! But wait, it gets better. The reason for this is to help our wonderful friends in their huge task of raising funds for their adoption. They are currently in the process of adopting a son from Albania. They also have opened up their own etsy shop called http://www.WickedGoodEats.etsy.com .They are selling delicious homemade (home ground whole wheat) breads and cookies for the sole purpose of raising funds. To read more about their story check out their blog.
We have posted the tickets on redpajamas You may purchase a ticket for 1.00 here or donate directly to them here. If you donate directly to them, be sure to let us know through a comment on our blog so we can enter you in the contest. BTW, the more tickets you purchase, the better chance you have to win! All proceeds go straight to the adoption fund. The winner will have a choice in size (6 months – 5T).
Also, for the month of April, we are donating 20% of our earnings to this cause. Raffle will be close on April 30th at midnight. We’ll announce the winner on May1.
Let’s help bring this little guy to his forever family!
Spring is here and what better way to welcome it in then with a new spring apron. This linen fabric with a fresh green leaf pattern is paired with a dark grey cotton trim and yellow stitching. This apron is available to purchase on red pajamas. Coming soon – a matching tea towel to complete the look.
The idea of up cycling has been brewing in my mind for quite sometime now, but I never got around to actually making it happen. I just love the idea of taking something that is not being used and giving it new life.
Our neighbour friend, Wiley, popped by the other night with an arm full of perfectly good shirts he no longer was using. Eddie (my husband) took a few, and suggested I take the rest to use for sewing. I was immediately motivated, and within 24 hours I had this sweet little number we all call the “Wiley dress”
Now, I must admit I’m obsessing a bit.
Here’s another.
before.
and after.
My favorite part is the bottom. I couldn’t quite get this one long enough, so I cut the the strip that holds the buttons and button holes and sewed it around to add length.
In order to save my daughter from a closet full of upcycled daddy shirts, I thought it would make a fun, unique and not to mention green addition for redpajamas.
My daddy’s shirt dress.. coming soon.
